Last week, Apple released iOS 17.4 beta to developers for testing purposes. The beta came with a wide range of changes imposed by the EU under the Digital Markets Act. Today, the company has seen fit to release the first public beta of iOS 17.4 alongside a revised version of the update to developers with a new build number. If you are a developer or a public beta tester, you can download and install the latest version on your iPhone and iPad right now.
Apple has re-released iOS 17.4 to developers with a new build number, download available for all compatible iPhone models
With iOS 17.4, Apple is allowing users in the EU to download apps from outside the App Store. Additionally, the update will also allow users to install alternate app stores. While most of these changes will be exclusive to the iPhone, Apple’s App Store changes will apply to other Apple products. As mentioned, developers and public beta testers can download the latest iOS 17.4 beta through the Settings app on your iPhone.
