Today, Apple has seen fit to seed the release of candidate builds of iOS 17.2, iPadOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2, macOS 14.2, and tvOS 17.2 to developers for testing purposes. The release candidate builds arrived a week after the company released beta 4 to developers. If you are a registered developer, you can download and install the latest build on your compatible device.

iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2 release candidates can be downloaded and installed on compatible iPhone and iPad models through the Settings app on your device. Head to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and install the latest iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2 release candidate. Make sure that your Apple ID is linked to your developer account to receive the update over the air on your iPhone or iPad.

Alongside iOS 17.2, Apple has also seeded the release candidate build of watchOS 10.2 to developers. If you are a registered developer, you can download and install the latest build through the stock Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Launch the Apple Watch app, head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates, and install the watchOS 10.2 release candidate on your Apple Watch. Ensure your Apple Watch has over 50 percent battery life and is plugged into a power source. Moreover, it should also be in the range of your iPhone and connected to a secure internet connection.

Apple has also released macOS 14.2 release candidate to developers for testing on all compatible Macs. If you are a developer, you can download and install through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. Toggle on Sonoma Developer Beta in the beta updates section. Your Apple ID should be connected to your developer account to receive the update over the air on your Mac.

Lastly, Apple has seeded the release candidate build of tvOS 17.2 alongside iOS 17.2. As a developer, you can install the release candidate build by opting into the beta through the Settings app on your Apple TV.
