Apple has released beta 4 of its upcoming iOS 17.2, iPadOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2, macOS 14.2, and tvOS 17.2 to developers for testing. As a registered developer, you can download and install the latest beta on your compatible devices for free. The newest beta builds arrived two weeks after the third developer build was released.

iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2 can be downloaded on compatible iPhone and iPad models through the Settings app. Before you begin the process, ensure your Apple ID is linked to your developer account. Once you do that, head to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and install the latest iOS 17.2 beta 4 on your compatible device. iOS 17.2 will bring the highly anticipated Journal app, music upgrades, and additional changes to the mix.

Besides iOS 17.2, Apple has also released beta 4 of watchOS 10.2 to developers. Launch your iPhone’s dedicated Apple Watch app to download the latest build. Head over to General > Software Updates > Beta Updates, and download the latest watchOS 10.2 beta 4 on your Apple Watch. Ensure your Apple Watch has over 50 percent battery life and is plugged into a power source. Your wearable should also be in the range of your iPhone and connected to a secure internet connection.
Apple has also released macOS 14.2 beta 4 to developers alongside iOS 17.2. The latest beta can be downloaded on your compatible Mac through the Software Update section in System Settings. Toggle on Sonoma Beta under the Beta Updates section. Again, your Apple ID should be connected to your developer account to receive the update over the air.
Lastly, Apple has also released tvOS 17.2 beta 4. If you are a registered developer, you can download and install the latest beta through the Settings app on your Apple TV. You must opt into the beta testing program through the Settings app. The latest updates will bring various changes to all platforms, including major bug fixes, and performance enhancements.
