Apple is said to be aware of the issue and it is likely that the brand is ‘investigating’ the same.
The Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 are the latest smartwatches from the brand which are available to the customers at the moment. They were launched alongside the iPhone 15 series back in September last year. The smartwatches were received well by the people, however, lately, there have been some complaints from the users. A few users have voiced their concerns about a potential ‘ghost touch’ issue which is affecting some of the watches of Series 9 and Ultra 2.
According to a report by MacRumors, Apple is said to be aware of the issue and it is likely that the brand is ‘investigating’ the same, as shared in a memo observed by Apple Authorized Service Providers. MacRumors quoted Apple as saying in the alleged memo, “Some customers may report their Apple Watch Series 9 or Apple Watch Ultra 2 is experiencing false touches on their display.”
These touches are reportedly being called “ghost” touches by the users.

Additional Issues
The MacRumors report further stated that users have also complained that their Apple Watches were ‘jumping erratically’ and they were performing oddly, without the involvement of any user input in it at all. This may even extend to the Apple Watch auto-dealing contacts and troubling users to add the device passcode to unlock it.
The report added that Apple recommends keeping the software up to date, and it suggests that the issue may be resolved through a forthcoming WatchOS update.
